My Story

As the visionary founder and director of Aventurine Global, she champions intercultural awareness and growth. Her methodology intertwines storytelling, social justice, collaborative engagements, and innovative educational techniques. With over 16 years in international education, Ebony's achievements include co-creating the Global Education Equity Empowerment Framework, a tool empowering global on-site teams to foster equity in their interactions. During her tenure at the University of Michigan, she served as a senior advisor and lecturer at the Center for Global and Intercultural Study. Ebony worked prior at the U.S. Department of Defense, supporting families, children, and youth throughout the world in various capacities. Ebony's own journey into the world of international education began during her academic career when she participated in an international internship program. That experience was the first time she had flown on an airplane or traveled beyond the southeast region of the United States of America. Throughout her career, she has spent a significant amount of time living and working abroad. Her journey into what she considers the unknown has taken her on an unforgettable and life-changing adventure.
